It is Grammy weekend in Los Angeles and the stars are out in full force. If you weren’t at The Recording Academy & Clive Davis Annual Pre-Grammy Gala last night, you were not important. The who’s who of music and celebrity got together at the Beverly Hilton hotel to pay honor to the icons. Having fun at the bash was Rihanna, Katy Perry and her fiance Russell Brand, Taylor Swift, Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow, Fergie, Jay-Z, Jamie Foxx, Ke$ha, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Keri Hilson, The Ting Tings and Chace Crawford. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw Russell Brand trying to make Rhianna and Katy laugh with … well, boner jokes. And worst of all was Kevin Jonas and his new wife kissing on the red carpet… how awkward was that kiss???

My favourite look of the night was worn by Diane Kruger, her mustard Jason Wu gown reminded us of Michelle Williams’ Vera Wang that we loved from the 2006 Oscars. More of my fave’s included Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard, Christina Applegate, and Carey Mulligan.

The gowns that fell under this category were the ones that I loved or liked enough not to put them under “hate”. Wearing a dress that is dazzling, stands out among the crowd, but also fits well is important. All these ladies showed that you wear the dress… the dress doesn’t wear you!
